Bleikur, 1:10 young Icelandic stallion (2019)
Bleikur represents a small Traditional (1:10) scale young Icelandic stallion of modern type. He was sculpted in 2019, and is offered full-cast (not hollow) in white polyurethane resin with wire-reinforced legs and a removable forelock for ease of bridle-fitting. The forelock attaches to the forehead via a peg, and is easy to glue or epoxy on permanently if preferred (I can do this free of charge upon request).
Each preliminarily prepped copy costs 175€ plus shipping and is available through the caster Aleksander Freda. Two moulds (max. 80 copies) were made. 10 copies were offered fully prepped (sold out), the rest of the edition is sold with preliminary prepping - each copy will require some work to prepare it for painting. Each copy comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
Buyers are welcome to finish their copies as they like, including sculptural alterations, but may not cast, print or otherwise make copies of the resulting derivative work in whole nor in part. Footage or scans of Bleikur may not be used to train generative AI.
